  • 1.  In class activities: exercises, simulations, group role plays

    Posted 09-14-2021 08:29
    Dear All,

I am developing an OD graduate course. I am looking for in-class interactive exercises. This is a five week course with long days in the classroom. I am looking to add role playing exercises, simulations, cases, short group in class assignments, interventions assignments. Anything that may add value to the course. Please share any ideas on exercises you may have.

    Thank you very much!

    Sincerely yours,

    Galina

    Greetings, Galina -

You may want to check out these resources for your course.

Johnson, H. H., Sorensen, P. F., & Yaeger, T. (Eds.). (2013). Critical issues in organization development:  Case studies for analysis and discussion. Information Age Publishing. https://www.infoagepub.com/products/Critical-Issues-in-Organizational-Development.

Anderson, D. L. (Ed.). (2012). Cases and exercises in organization development & change (1st ed.). Sage.

I think Don Anderson has a more recent edition of the Cases and Exercises book.  You can check for the second edition on Amazon or other vendors.

    Good luck!

Yes, Tony, I was going to say the same thing.  Galina, Tony's and Gavin's book has a ton of interesting activities that can be used in orgs or schools.

In full disclosure, I have one of the chapters in the book, but it is chock full of good ideas.

Good luck with the course, Galina!
