PDW on Process Studies @ AOM 2018 – Call for applications (Deadline July 16)

Understanding Change from a Process Perspective: What Does It Take and What Do You Get?

    Sponsor(s): (RM, ODC, OMT, TIM)

Scheduled: Friday, Aug 10 2018 8:00AM - 10:00AM at Sheraton Grand Chicago in Sheraton Ballroom III

    Workshop Description

This workshop is designed for doctoral students and faculty members who are new to process studies and are interested to become more familiar with this research paradigm. Given the diverse nature of process studies, we invite participants from all divisions interested in this topic. In the first part of the workshop, two senior scholars will, respectively, share their insights into the questions a) 'What does it take and what do you get when you use a process perspective?', and b) 'What makes a good process paper intriguing?'. After a short Q&A participants will break into small groups and briefly present the research designs they submitted when they registered for the workshop, receive individual feedback, and discuss their designs with the rest of the group. Each discussion group will be facilitated by an experienced scholar with a track record of published qualitative papers that use a process perspective.  The first part of the workshop, i.e. two presentations, will be open to everyone interested in joining the workshop, regardless whether they registered in advance or not. During the second part, i.e. group discussion, only registered participants will join the round-table discussions.
