Case Studies on Employee-Owned Companies

My colleagues and I are considering doing a qualitative analysis of successful employee-owned companies. We are using a broad definition of employee-ownership to include ESOP's (Employee Stock Option Plans), KSOP's (401 K plans with an ESOP component, ESoP's (Employee Stock option Plans), Perpetual Trusts, and Employee-Owned Cooperatives. If you have one or know of one, please send or source information to me at fmshipper@salisbury.edu.

    Thanks You,

Congratulations!!! to my knowledge, this is the first ever research project focusing on workers cooperatives by members of ODC!
i wish you full success and look forward to reading your final report.
Taken from a ODperspective, we made a presentation at a conference last year in Naples, Italy, which focused on the need to know more how cooperatives grow and overcome the growth challenges. You can find our paper and presentation on our first website at:
Sinergie-SIMA 2017 Conference "Value co-creation: management challenges for business and society"

In response to Raymond's comment, my colleagues and I have recently had published the following article about Mondragon, one of the oldest, largest and best known coops.

Roche, O., Freundlich, F., Shipper, F., & Manz, C. C. (2018). "Mondragon's Amorphous Network Structure: 'Making the whole truly greater than the sum of its parts.'" Organizational Dynamics. https://doi.org/ 10.1016/j.orgdyn.2018.01.001.
