The Center for Positive Organizations is delighted to announce the establishment of "The Robert E. Quinn Award for Positive Change." Named in honor of Robert E. Quinn, Emeritus Professor of Management and Organizations at the University of Michigan, this prestigious award recognizes significant contributions that inspire positive change within the field of organization development and change (ODC).
Robert E. Quinn, a distinguished ODC scholar, has profoundly impacted the field through his extensive work as a faculty member, author, consultant, and speaker. His influential writings, including the renowned book "Deep Change" and the award-winning "The Best Teacher in You," as well as his Harvard Business Review paper "Moments of Greatness: Entering the Fundamental State of Leadership," continue to shape thought leadership in management and organizational behavior.
To launch this award, the Center for Positive Organizations will host a workshop event titled "Creating an Organization of Higher Purpose," reflecting Bob Quinn's recent work. This half-day workshop promises to provide insightful perspectives on cultivating a purpose-driven organizational culture. Participants will delve into the intricacies of personal and organizational purpose, aiming to enhance employee engagement and performance through authentic, higher-purpose initiatives.
