This session explores the powerful intersection of Agile methodologies and Organizational Development & Change, offering strategies for management consultants to drive transformation in today's complex organizations. Drawing from real-world defense and tech experience, Shawn demonstrates how Agile functions as both a catalyst and a framework for lasting organizational change, integrating classic OD models like Lewin's and Kotter's. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, learn from case studies, and leave with actionable tools for leveraging Agile.
Shawn Otto is Associate Director at Raytheon Technologies, recognized for his expertise in Agile transformation, organizational change management, and project leadership in the military and defense sectors. A Project Management Professional and Scaled Agile Practice Consultant, Shawn holds a Master's in Technology Management from Georgetown University and is a doctoral scholar at Bowling Green State University. His distinguished career includes program management roles at the Defense Intelligence Agency, DISA, and NGA, 32 years of service as a U.S. Army Officer, and Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. He received two Bronze Stars and the Legion of Merit, highlighting a career marked by heroism, meritorious achievement, and exceptional leadership. It also signifies the recipient's valor, dedication, and effectiveness in service, particularly in positions of responsibility and during combat operations.
