You are welcome to attend this live event that will be organized virtually on December 1, 2022, Thursday, 3:00 pm, PST, at Zoom. Recent pandemic experiences have increased awareness about the need for effective crisis management. This year's festival addresses this need by focusing on the theme: "Turning Crises Into Opportunities When Leading with Emotional Intelligence."
To provide a mental break from COVID-19 pandemic, and also bring novel insights about managing organizational crisis, the films illustrate organizational stories that take place in a fictional global crisis such as a mysterious force making men temporarily disappear on earth, a perfume threatening whales, a pandemic in which people randomly start sleeping, and a worldwide blizzard that starts freezing people. Teams of Human Resource Management students at Sacramento State have produced these films, with the guidance from Professor Hakan Ozcelik during Fall 2022 semester.
Since space is limited for this event, guests are requested to RSVP via the following link until November 30:
Following film presentations, Professor Robert Ulmer, from the University of Nevada, and Dr. Ryan Fuller from the CSUS, two leading scholars in organizational crisis management research, will provide a live commentary to analyze and integrate these films in an interactive forum. A jury panel including field experts, professors, and managers will choose the "Best Film".
