    The Department of Management in the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2024. Appropriate candidates will hold a PhD in Management or closely-related discipline (ABDs will be considered but must complete their doctorate by September 1, 2024). Appropriate candidates will demonstrate clear research and teaching interests in Strategic Management, a record of publications, and a clear pipeline of manuscripts in progress. The candidate will be expected to teach in-person and online courses primarily in Strategic Management at the graduate and undergraduate levels in support of the Bachelors of Science in Management (BSM) and Master of Business Administration (MBA), with the potential for teaching in related management disciplines as needed. The candidate will also be expected to support the Department's track and research group in Organizations and Social Change as part of the College's PhD in Business Administration.

    The College of Management (CM) is AACSB-accredited and is the only public Business School in Boston. CM's mission is to cultivate the next generation of business and community leaders by providing accessible and exceptional learning experiences, backed by cutting-edge intellectual contributions and professional engagement. The College offers two bachelor's degrees, five master's degrees that can be completed on campus, online, or in a combination, and a PhD in Business Administration which consists of the Finance track, the Organizations and Social Change (OSC) track, and the  Information Systems for Data Science and Management track. Total enrollment in the College has grown rapidly to about 2,500 students. The College has a Center for Collaborative Leadership, a Digital Media Lab, an Entrepreneurship Center, a Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness, a Financial Services Forum, and participates in cross-college initiatives such as the Sustainable Solutions Lab and the Venture Development Center. Numerous opportunities for research and collaboration exist with faculty, businesses, governmental agencies, institutes, and research centers in the university system and in the greater Boston area. The region is a global hub of innovation and expertise in a number of sectors, including financial services, clean tech, healthcare, life sciences, education, and software development.
