Join us for this PDW exploring academic rigor and practice-relevance in ODC-oriented doctoral education and in the real-world experience of graduates and students of these programs.
Faculty representatives from four European and U.S. doctoral institutions will share insights into their educational models, highlighting the strategies designed to cultivate scholar-practitioners who bridge the gap between theory and practice. Graduates and students of these programs operating in consulting, corporate leadership, academic, crisis management, and social change settings will then present their journeys, sharing concrete examples of their attempts to connect research and practice, the strategies they enacted, the educational resources on which they drew, and the outcomes of their attempts. The PDW will generate insights relevant for scholar-practitioners, researchers, and educators seeking to connect rigor and relevance in their work.
