Dear colleagues,

We are very excited to announce that David Coghlan and Danielle Zandee will share their valuable insights on Action Research during an online PhD Workshop hosted by Nyenrode Business University on 17 & 24 October 2024. 

David Coghlan specializes in organization development and action research and is active in both communities internationally. He has published over 250 articles and book chapters. His book, Doing Action Research in your Own  Organization (SAGE) has been through five editions. Danielle Zandee is a teacher, facilitator and researcher in the fields of organizational development and social innovation. She has action research experience in contexts like healthcare, municipalities and safety regions. Danielle has published about appreciative inquiry as an action research approach in the Handbook of Action Research, the SAGE Encyclopedia of Action Research, the Advances in Appreciative Inquiry series and the AI Practitioner Journal. Recently, she published AR articles in the Cambridge Handbook of Strategy as Practice and Strategic Organization (the latter with David as co-author). 

David Coghlan and Danielle Zandee will conduct two online sessions in which participants will obtain practical understanding of how to develop meaningful, original, and rigorous knowledge through studying the change processes that they also facilitate. During and in between sessions there is ample opportunity and time to apply the gained knowledge to your own action research study and to subsequently reflect on your experiences in plenary conversation.
