Thomas B. Lawrence is a Professor of Strategy at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He received his PhD in organizational analysis from the University of Alberta. His research explores how people construct, transform, and disrupt institutions, relationships, and identities in organizational fields. His most recent book (with Nelson Phillips) is Constructing organizational life: How social-symbolic work shapes selves, organizations, and institutions.
