    Dear ODC Colleagues and Friends:

As Program Chair, Program Chair-Elect, and PDW Chair of the ODC Division of the Academy of Management, we welcome your contributions to the 2022 program. As we are a community engaged with change and changing, we really thrive on shared efforts to strengthen and renew our repertoire of theory and practice. On behalf of the ODC Board we therefore invite you to help make the 2022 program as rich and vibrant as it can be.

We are thrilled that the majority of the meeting will be held in person! The 2022 meeting has been dubbed "One Annual Meeting: Three Experiences". The three experiences include: [1] in-person, on-site sessions in Seattle; [2] virtual-only sessions hosted on the virtual Annual Meeting platform; and [3] a portion of on-site sessions live-streamed to include virtual attendance.

With the all-academy theme "Creating a Better World Together", the in-person conference will take place from August 5-August 9 (and the virtual meeting August 4-10). We would value your participation as a submitter and reviewer. Please note that both the submission system and the reviewer registration system are now open. Submissions are due January 11, 2022.

We welcome original and rigorous scholarly contributions, so please submit your change-related paper or symposium proposal to ODC. Please review the call for submissions for more information and you can submit your work here.

Another important way to contribute is through our PDW program. PDWs are an excellent place to explore and enrich what happens at the interface of ODC theory and practice. If you are considering submitting a PDW proposal, you can find more information here and can submit here.

The quality of our program depends not only on the submissions but also on the efforts of our reviewers. If you served as an ODC reviewer in the past, we would appreciate your continuing involvement. If you are new to the Academy or to the ODC Division, we encourage you to become one of our reviewers. You don't have to be a member or to attend the conference in order to review. Please sign up to be a reviewer here. The review period is January 20 – February 17, 2022.

It would be great if in 2022 we can welcome many new members to the ODC Division. Please encourage your colleagues and your students to join, submit, and review. Some of our awards are specifically geared to this group, such as:

    • Best Paper Overall
    • Rupe Chisholm Best Theory-to-Practice Paper
    • Best Paper based on a Dissertation (student must be the sole author)
    • Best Student Paper (student must be first author, but paper can be co-authored)
    • Best Action Research Paper

You can find a full listing of our awards on our website.

We look forward to your contributions and hope to welcome you in Seattle!

    Best wishes,
