Scholar-Practitioners — This One’s for You! (Round 3)
Scholar-practitioners often operate at the intersection of research and practice, where different assumptions, priorities, languages, and standards meet. While these differences can create valuable opportunities for learning and collaboration, they can also make understanding difficult to achieve.
This session focuses on both the complexity and the potential of working across contexts. Through real experiences shared by scholar-practitioners, peer discussion, and collective reflection, participants will explore where misunderstandings and tensions emerge, as well as what becomes possible when understanding is created across research and practice.
The webinar is intentionally interactive and peer-based. Participants will exchange perspectives in small groups, learn from the experiences of others, and identify shared patterns across different contexts and professional environments.
Participants will leave with:
- A clearer understanding of why creating understanding across research and practice can be challenging.
- Shared insights into the different expectations, assumptions, and realities that shape interactions across contexts.
- Examples of what becomes possible when understanding emerges across research and practice.
- New perspectives on the value that can be created through meaningful exchange across different professional worlds.
