I'd like to extend an invitation for contributions to a SIOP 2014 symposium on change readiness in healthcare. This symposium will be practitioner-oriented with a focus on the use of individual and organizational level change readiness (or capacity for change) assessments or survey measures that have been used to inform the people side of organizational change in the healthcare setting.
I am looking for contributions from members of healthcare organizations who have experience assessing individual or group level change readiness and driving action to support the implementation of new technology, processes, etc. or those who has worked with healthcare organizations in a similar context and would like to share their experience as part of the symposium. Potential topic areas include, although are not limited to, the following:
· Assessing the change readiness of a group to determine possible actions needed (e.g., communication) to increase the groups change readiness and increase the likelihood of a successful change implementation.
· Using an organizational capacity for change to provide insight as to what challenges or roadblocks will need to be addressed before and during a change implementation.
· Increasing organizational capacity for change as a part of the implementation of ongoing initiatives and improvements.
