The Western Academy of Management seeks nominations from innovative and accomplished scholars to serve as a co-Editor-in-Chief from outside North America to work with Richard Stackman (University of San Francisco) for the peer-reviewed Journal of Management Inquiry. The appointment is for four years and is staggered with the appointment of the other co-editor-in-chief.

Please address inquiries and/or nominations to Richard Stackman at rwstackman@usfca.edu. Candidates are asked to provide a one-page Vision Statement that outlines their ideas for the journal and a letter of support from their Dean with confirmation of any course release or other institutional support. The WAM Executive Committee provides limited funding for journal operations including attendance at select conferences.

The Journal of Management Inquiry – published four times a year by Sage – showcases high quality research and practice written by top management scholars and professionals from a wide variety of areas within the management and organization field. Expectations:

• Manages the online review process, ensuring that decisions are made in a timely and professional manner.

• Recruits Editorial Board members as needed, reviewing appointments with
  the WAM Advisory Board
  .

• Regularly reviews JMI's stated editorial objectives with a view to incorporating topical and emerging areas.
  

• Strives to increase the number of quality submissions and citations to JMI via a strategy developed between the Editorial Board and WAM Advisory Board.

• Engages and maintains regular communications with the Editorial Board and the WAM
  Executive Committee.

• Promotes the journal through networking at conferences, site visits and using social media.

• Is communicative and responsive with the publishing team at Sage, delivering articles for publication on time.
