    The Southern Management Association (SMA) is a domestic affiliate of the Academy of Management. This year's SMA conference is going to be held in St. Pete's Beach in Florida from October 24 to 28. This email is an invite for faculty to encourage their interested and/or deserving students to apply to the pre-doctoral consortium to get a realistic preview of what life during and after the PhD is about. 

    You know those students in your class. The high-performing ones with all of the questions that make you think "You've got what it takes. You'd be good at this job." Be sure to let them know about the call for this year's pre-doctoral consortium in St. Pete's FL during the SMA 2017 Conference. The deadline to apply is June 30th and acceptance is competitive. SMA is going to award $500 stipend (on a competitive basis to up to 20 participants) towards travel.
